Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals of all ages improve their communication and swallowing abilities. Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language
- Assist patients in developing alternative communication methods, such as sign language or the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication outside of therapy sessions
- Keep detailed records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
