Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist

Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals of all ages improve their communication and swallowing abilities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Duties:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language
  • Assist patients in developing alternative communication methods, such as sign language or the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication outside of therapy sessions
  • Keep detailed records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
