The successful candidate will be offered a tenure-track appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor, which is in accordance with the University of Alberta Faculty Agreement and offers a comprehensive benefits package. This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS), invites applications for an academic position within the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta, with a focus on Pediatric Heart Function and Transplant. This position is a part of the Alberta Academic Medicine and Health Services Program (AMHSP).

This position is a 1.0 full-time equivalent and includes negotiated and committed protected time for research and other academic pursuits. The successful candidate will contribute to education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the Royal College-accredited subspecialty training program in Pediatric Cardiology.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital Cardiac Program is the 9th largest in North America in surgical volumes. It is one of the two largest centers in Canada, providing care for much of Western Canada. The chosen candidate would join 18 clinical and 3 associated research scientists providing a full spectrum of clinical pediatric cardiology services and research, with expertise in multi-modal diagnostic imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, fetal cardiology, heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and preventive cardiology.
