Responsibilities
- Conduct initial dental assessments
- Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene
- Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease
- Apply fluoride treatment
- Remove stains and deposits from teeth
- Take, develop and mount X-rays
- Apply and remove temporary dressings
Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
