The Division of Dermatology at the University of Alberta is a leading center for clinical care, education, and research in skin diseases. The division is home to four staff dermatologists, community clinical academic dermatologists and a highly regarded Royal College accredited residency program, training 10-12 residents at any given time. It is distinguished by its multidisciplinary clinics, where dermatologists work alongside specialists in oncology, rheumatology, immunology, and plastic surgery to provide comprehensive care for complex conditions such as cutaneous lymphoma, autoimmune skin diseases, contact dermatitis, melanoma, and psychodermatology. Research is a key focus, with ongoing studies in immune-dermatology and cutaneous oncology, fostering innovation in diagnostics and treatment.
