Emergency Medicine Physician - Medicine Hat

The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital (MHRH) is a level 3 Regional Trauma referral center averaging 39,000 emergency visits per year with a catchment area of 110,000. The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Emergency Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time emergency physician. Emergency Department offers 24-hour service with 14 full and part-time Emergency Physicians. The emergency department offers a flexible self-scheduling system.

Responsibilities / Duties:

• 14-15 shifts per month: 6-9 hours duration
• Dual physician coverage during the day
• Respond to in-hospital code blue
• Full-service emergency care including trauma and resuscitation

CCFP-EM / RCPSC is required to work the higher acuity area of the department. However, applicants will be considered based on their Emergency Medicine experience and the requirement will be waived to work the lower acuity area of the department.
