Emergency Medicine (Clinton)

Clinton Public Hospital is recruiting Full and/or Part time physicians to provide Emergency Department coverage.

Shifts are scheduled for a 24 hour period. 0800-2200 is paid at the AFA rate of $180-$190/hour, depending on weekday/weekend. Physicians are compensated for their work overnight covering the inpatient unit at a rate of $500-$550 (weekday/weekend). The ED closes overnight (registration ends at 2000). Physicians travelling from out of town may wish to cover consecutive shifts, which is very manageable.

Local ED back up is scheduled and available.

Accommodation is available on site in a nicely furnished one bedroom suite across the street from the hospital.

Clinton Public Hospital
Clinton Public Hospital is part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, which also includes; Seaforth Community, St Marys Memorial and Stratford General Hospitals. The four-hospital Alliance is located in beautiful Southwestern Ontario.

Clinton Public Hospital is a 20 bed well equipped hospital with a bed mix of Medicine and CCC. There is strong specialty support available through colleagues at Stratford General Hospital, approximately 45 minutes away. The hospital provides on site specialty clinics in allergy, surgery and internal medicine.

For those wishing to provide hospitalist coverage, this can be arranged. Additionally, the Clinton Family Health Team welcomes locum support at their clinic (across the street from the hospital). The Clinton FHT is supported through the Rural Family Medicine Locum Program.
