Covenant Health in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta, invites applications for a locum Emergency Medicine Physician to be based primarily at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful applicants will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
Required:
- MD or equivalent.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Certification in Emergency Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or hold CCFP-EM.
- Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.
- Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be considered a strong clinician by their peers.
- ACLS, PALS, ATLS and NRP competency are required.
All physicians hired to the Department of Emergency Medicine are required to have current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certification or certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
