Description

Position Description and Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory disorders, mental health, and addiction medicine.
  • Perform in-office minor procedures.
  • Provide preventive care measures, through ensuring vaccinations and regular health screenings are up-to-date.
  • Promote healthy lifestyle.
  • Provide a proactive approach to address potential emerging health issues.
  • Act as a patient advocate ensuring access to resources and services.
  • Provide after-hours on-call.

Qualifications:

As per the CPSA's eligibility requirements guidelines. Applicants should be Eligible for a CPSA license and willing to undergo a Practice Readiness Assessment as outlined by the CPSA. The applicant will apply for and maintain a Community Appointment with Alberta Health Services, in the Department of Family Medicine.
