COMMUNITY: Family Physicians Needed - Tamarack Medical Clinic - Edmonton

Job Description:

Looking for 2 family physicians to offer primary care services in a busy family medicine clinic that offers comprehensive family medicine to our patients. We are located in southeast Edmonton. The clinic is run by a family physician, therefore can relate to family physicians' day to day challenges and offer a collegial support year round to cover each other in absences. We use healthquest EMR along with Dragon dictation software to reduce time with charting and make our workday efficient. Based on physicians' needs, we may consider using AI, such as Tali with healthquest to make charting even more efficient.

• Physician will pay 25% towards overhead cost to clinic from his/her total gross billings (including AHCIP, Medavie, private and third party payments, etc.)
• Physician is expected to work as per formal contract between the clinic and the physician.
• Flexibility to choose hours and days of work.
• Ability to chart from home using VPN access to EMR.
• 1:1 ratio of MOAs to physician.
• Physician will have a say in administration and operation of the clinic as this allows every physician to work together as a cohesive team to meet every physician expectation.

Qualifications:

• Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
• Physician should have eligibility letter from CPSA to be considered for this opportunity.
• Physician to meet all CPSA standards required of him/her to conduct their professional duties towards patients.
• Physician to comply with all CPSA requirements.

• Compensation: Physician will work under the fee-for-service model with choice to sign up for PCPCM. Regardless of the compensation model chosen by the physician, physician will pay 25% overhead cost on total gross monthly billings (including but not limited to AHCIP, private, third-party, medavie, etc.) Detailed overhead and legal structure will be discussed with candidates who are interviewed.
