This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.
Job Description:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patient health.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions and diseases.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as necessary.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
- Refer patients to specialists or for further diagnostic testing when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to medical ethics, confidentiality, and legal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
- Current eligibility letter from CPSA
- Proven experience as a general practitioner.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
