The Hamilton Family Health Team is looking for Physicians to join the Medical Assistance in Dying Community Outreach Team.
If you are compassionate about providing end-of-life options to the residents of Hamilton and the surrounding area, you may be interested in joining the team. The Medical Assistance in Dying Community Outreach Team is a group of professionals that help individuals reach their end-of-life goals by providing home visits for assessments and provisions of MAiD and works within the recommendations of CAMAP (Canadian Association of MAiD Assessors and Providers) as far as medication protocols and standards of care. Mentoring is available for independent assessments, provider assessments, and provisions.
The following commitments are required to be considered for the available positions:
- Becoming a member of CAMAP
- Complete the CAMAP Curriculum for assessors and providers: Curriculum Overview CAMAP | ACEPA
- Agree to attend monthly team meetings
- Commit to a minimum of 2-4 hours per week during business hours for in-person assessments and provisions
