Family Medicine Physician - Camrose

Alberta Health Services, Central Zone, is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to establish a full-time Family Medicine practice in the community of Camrose. The candidate will also be responsible for at least one week every 2 months as part of the Hospitalist Inpatient Care Team at St. Mary's Hospital. The successful candidate will be skilled, or open to mentorship, in the provision of Stroke, Palliative and Geriatric care and have comfort in managing common hospital presentations in an evidence-based manner. Collaboration with multidisciplinary team is required. The candidate can also elect to work in ER, continuing care or other aspects of care in the community.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Reside in and have their primary residence within the community of Camrose;
• Establish and maintain full time community-based practice within the community;
• Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services;
• Provide call assistance as per call schedules, as required;
• Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies;
• Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Department of Family Medicine;
• Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs;
• Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities, as assigned;
• Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.
