Hospitalist Department of Hospitalist & Family Medicine

The Department of Hospitalist & Family Medicine at Erie Shores HealthCare is inviting applications for a Hospitalist to join our team. The Hospitalists at Erie Shores HealthCare provide on-call coverage to the Emergency Department. The team cares for a variety of medical and surgical cases and participates in the care of newborns within our hospital. Support is provided in the form of collaborative Nurse Practitioners and onsite specialist coverage by Internal Medicine, General Surgery, OB-GYN, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, and Diagnostic Imaging, as well as established links to subspecialty coverage within the Windsor Regional Hospital system.

Qualifications: Applicants will have interest and experience in inpatient medicine, hold certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons, and be licensed or eligible for license to practice in the Province of Ontario.

About Us: Nestled in Leamington, Ontario, Erie Shores HealthCare is a 72-bed acute care community hospital serving Canada's southernmost region. Our catchment area of 110,000 includes Leamington, Kingsville, Essex, Amherstburg, Belle River, and Wheatley. With a four-bed level II Intensive Care Unit and a three-room Operating Suite, we provide essential services to our community. Our emergency department handles around 30,000 visits yearly. ESHC also has an affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and candidates have an opportunity to participate in education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
