FFS Position Neurologist-Neuro-Ophthalmologist

The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Neurology in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for a neuro-ophthalmologist clinical neurologist to be based between the University of Alberta Hospital, Kaye Edmonton Clinic, and Royal Alexandra Hospital with cross-appointment within Department of Ophthalmology. Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the Faculty has been internationally recognized as among the world’s top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada’s premier health-education institutions.

Responsibilities and Opportunities:

• Participation in divisional meetings, retreats, and initiatives in neurology and ophthalmology
• Providing neurology inpatient services and participating in neurology calls on a rotating roster
• Supporting ophthalmology clinical care
• Educating residents and students in classroom and bedside settings
• Coordinating elective and rotational experiences for trainees
• Participating in and leading clinical research and/or quality improvement programs

Qualifications:

• MD degree and certification in Neurology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada
• Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
• Advanced training and expertise in neuro-ophthalmology
