Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care And Teen Klinic

PART-TIME TERM POSITION

0.8 E.F.T. – 32 Hours Per Week

Klinic Community Health is a pro-choice community health centre that provides primary care, education, and counselling services to our local community and throughout Manitoba. New Directions offers a transition, healing, and education program for children, youth, and adults who have been exploited through sex trade. This program assists to stabilize living situations, promote healthy lifestyles, and build confidence and self-esteem. The programs are participant-directed and delivered through a holistic healing model of balancing spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional needs of the participants.

Position Summary

This position works in an inter-disciplinary collaborative team to provide primary health care on-site at Klinic three days per week. One day per week is spent at New Directions meeting clients in group settings (including the provision of education sessions on various health topics) as well as individual visits for primary care related health needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Community Health and/or Primary Health Care and/or Public Health
  • Active registration in the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba in the RN – Extended Practice Register
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle may be required
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Working knowledge of basic computer usage and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Experience in development and evaluation in Health Promotion and Education programs as an asset

SALARY RANGE: $63.646-$76.064 per hour
