General Description
The Nurse Practitioner - will be responsible for administering care to patients under the supervision of physicians. 3 years of paid experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
Essential Functions
- Follow Nurse Practice Act for their licensure.
- Initiates an appropriate assessment of patient's health status, ranging from focused to comprehensive, depending upon the setting (e.g., emergency, structured screening, scheduled visit).
- Assist the Service Line Director and Clinic Site Director in the ongoing assessment of client services and will report any need for improvement in those areas. Work with the team in ongoing clinic development and implementation.
- Consults with colleagues, supervising Physicians, specialists, and other health professionals as appropriate.
- Document all client care as appropriate in a timely manner.
Education Work Experience & Training Requirements
- Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school.
- Must be proficient with EMRs.
- Ideal candidate is independent, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- 3-5 yrs experience required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
