Registered Nurse – St. Paul
Casual RN
Responsibilities
- Current registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred, including Complex medical and Dementia.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices.
- Expertise in wound management, infection control, least restraint, and zero lift.
- Effective human relation skills for coaching, mentoring, and shared learning.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing urgent tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to handle stressful situations and work with diverse individuals or groups.
- Strong organizing, planning, prioritizing, and time management abilities.
- Proven experience in seeking information from various sources.
Qualifications
- Must adhere to regulations in the Health Professions Act.
- Accountable for assessing, planning, monitoring, and coordinating resident care.
- Oversees Interdisciplinary Team Conference and care plan development.
- Directs and supervises LPN and Health Care Aide Staff.
- Collaborates with the health care team and prioritizes customer satisfaction.
- Orients, mentors, and develops staff competencies.
- Acts as facility lead in the absence of management.
