About The Job

The Registered Nurse:

  • Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing practice
  • Maintains and advances own clinical competence
  • Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Minto House embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is one storey with 14 residential beds, and a private bathroom in each room. We also have recreation activities daily, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy available based on client need and a Rehab Assistant available daily for the walking program, exercise, and assessments.
