Department/Unit/Program Description
The CCP2/Rehab/Integrated Stroke unit is a specialized patient care area within Ross Memorial Hospital. A patient is admitted there for general rehab and acute stroke care. Each patient will have rehab goals to support their treatment and to meet the goals of a safe discharge home. The Integrated Stroke Unit cares for patients that have had an acute stroke and need specialized stroke care to maximize recovery potential including rehab functional goals. FE (Functional Enhancement) consists of a slow stream rehabilitation program for those patients who are unable to tolerate the intensity of the inpatient rehab program.

Position Summary
The CCP2/Integrated Stroke/Rehabilitation Unit is currently seeking a Temporary Full Time Registered Nurse to join their healthcare team.
Essential Qualifications
- Current registration and member in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario, compliant with the Professional Standards and Standards of Practice for RNs
- BCLS or current CPR certificate essential, on hire
- IV and CVAD certification (or commitment to certify)
- Physical Assessment course (or commitment to complete)
- Post diploma courses and specialty experience in rehabilitation and/or gerontology
Preferred Qualifications
- MDS/NRS assessment tools would be an asset
- B.Sc.N Trained in Epic - training can be provided, but must pass required testing
Hours of Work
Must be able and willing to work 12-hour day and night shifts, Monday to Sunday, including statutory holidays. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the ONA Collective Agreement.
