Position: Registered Nurse
Dept: 4B Medicine, Inpatient Medicine Program
Role Level: Clinical Patient Services (CPS04.2) - $39.07-$56.00 per hour (additional% in lieu for vacation & benefits)
Status: Permanent Part Time (x2)
Site: Mississauga Hospital
Shift: 12 hours Days/Night shift rotation, weekends and statutory holidays

Job Description
The Inpatient Medicine & ICU Program at THP consists of a total of more than 350 beds across the CVH & MH and is staffed by large interprofessional teams who support the care of complex medicine patients within the Mississauga Halton LHIN. Our inpatient units offer first-rate care in an innovative environment supporting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients. We are dedicated to building a diverse workforce that reflects the community in which we live and serve.
Reporting to a Clinical Manager, the ideal candidate will be focused on providing excellent patient centered care in a dynamic environment where he/she will be given the opportunity to deliver care with compassion, excellence and courage.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in good standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNO
- Able to function to the full scope of practice as per CNO
- Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of two years acute care medical/surgical experience
- Completion of a physical assessment course
Job Responsibilities
- Provision of nursing care for patients within an interprofessional environment, including assessment, treatment, teaching and education
- Teaching and coaching to patients and families
