Registered Nurse - B4 Neurovascular Unit - Regular Part-Time 2024-10589 (2024-10589)

Summary Of Duties

The Registered Nurse’s primary focus on B4/B4ICU is the provision of highly skilled patient focused care to respiratory, high intensity and medical patients. Nurses will function collaboratively in a primary nursing environment as part of a professional multidisciplinary patient care team. In addition to promoting excellence of care the nurse will actively demonstrate effective communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution and interpersonal/team building skills. The integration of research findings into practice, the pursuit of education opportunities and active participation in unit activities are supported and strongly encouraged.

Qualifications/Skills

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
• Current B.C.L.S. B.Sc.N. preferred
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred
• CC 1 required from accredited recognized institution
• Successful completion of departmental quiz with passing score of minimum 80%
• Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred care approaches and principles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to set priorities in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent patient assessment skills
• Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all
• Commitment to person-centred care concepts principles along with demonstrated ability to work as a member of an inter-professional team
