Nurse Practitioner (Relocation to Vancouver BC)

TELUS Health Care Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, invites Nurse Practitioners residing outside of BC to join our dynamic team.

Ability/Willingness to Relocate: TELUS Health Care Centre, 300-808 Nelson St, Vancouver BC

Schedule: Flexible, 3-4 days per week or 20+ weekly hours preferred

Remuneration: Competitive, flexible and negotiable

Relocation Assistance: Available for successful candidates

Role Summary: Nurse Practitioners are responsible for the provision of high-quality preventative health care services and work in an interdisciplinary collaborative model with Family Physicians, Nurses, Kinesiologists, Dietitians, and other allied health team members to support patients in meeting their health and wellness goals.

As a TELUS Health Care Centre Nurse Practitioner, you will practice to your full scope:

• Deliver evidence-based primary care through assessment, ordering diagnostic tests, performing procedures, prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and initiating specialist referrals
• Deliver episodic and longitudinal care
• Provide regular patient follow-up to promote health and educate on disease prevention and management
• Collaborate with other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physicians, and allied health team members to foster a team-based, interdisciplinary approach
• Opportunities to deliver complex and specialized care, including but not limited to; prenatal care, pediatric health & wellness, chronic disease prevention, and management

What do you need to apply?

• Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent, with a post-Master’s diploma (PMD)
• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner – Family/ All Ages, and in good standing with the Provincial College

Preferred:

• 2+ years of primary care experience preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a positive and results-focused attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and patients
• Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $105.00-$120.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
