Locum - Generalist Obstetrician Gynecologist

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting for a Locum Generalist in the Department, starting June 15, 2025, based out of the South Health Campus. The individual will be expected to have a Generalist OBGYN which provides both antenatal and gynecologic consultation and on-going care. The position is expected to focus on medical gynecology, and as such will not be allocated main operating room time but will be given right to pick up main operating room days if they come available. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and preference will be given to a candidate with Royal College Subspecialty Certification, with special areas of interest in vaginal reconstructive surgery, incontinence surgery, and have administrative interest. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cumming School of Medicine University of Calgary.

Qualifications:

• FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.
• The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
• Must read, write and speak English.
