Description
Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is seeking a Locum OBGYN to join our team for a four-month term from September 1 to December 31, 2025. Located in the scenic Simcoe-Muskoka region of Ontario, OSMH is a Level 2C obstetrical centre with a Level 2C nursery, providing comprehensive care to our community.
Position Highlights:
- On-Call Coverage: Provide 24-hour on-call services for obstetrical and gynaecological emergencies once per week.
- Clinical Practice: Conduct outpatient clinics focusing on obstetrics, gynaecology, and follow-up care in a newly renovated, spacious facility shared with four OBGYN colleagues.
- Colposcopy Services: Perform one colposcopy day per month.
- Surgical Opportunities: Operate one day per month in the OR, with potential for additional surgical time as needed.

REMUNERATION:
This position is funded through Ontario's Alternate Funding Program (AFP), offering competitive remuneration.
Requirements
Education:
- College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license that allows the physician to fulfill the requirements of this position.
- Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- U.S.-trained doctors holding American Board certification are eligible to gain licensure with CPSO without certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RSPSC). Pathway A policy permits eligible specialists to be issued a restricted certificate of registration to practice independently limited to their scope of practice without requiring RCPSC.
