Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Status: Regular Part Time

Department: ARC Hand Therapy Clinic

Program: Healthy Aging

8 Hour Shifts, Days and Evenings Schedule (Subject to Change)

Location: Lakeridge Health Whitby

Wage Schedule: $40.360 - $56.300 per hour

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for patient assessment and the development of treatment plans, with an emphasis on optimizing return to function.
  • Includes client assessment and treatment in the Hand Therapy Clinic and in the Fracture Clinic.
  • Must be able to travel between sites.
  • This position may include weekends.

Qualifications

  • Registration (in good standing) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Hand Therapy clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated skill in fabricating static and dynamic splints.
  • Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively in a fast-paced/immediate care plastic or fracture clinic environment.
  • Ability to manage a high client caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and case management skills.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position and experience in evidence-based approach to service delivery.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service.
