Alberta Health Services, Department of Pediatrics and Medical Affairs, Edmonton Zone is inviting Pediatricians/Anesthetists with special training and capability in Pediatric Intensive Care to apply for a position with the Stollery Children’s Hospital in the Edmonton Zone.

Responsibilities:

• As a Clinical Associate within the Critical Care Division at the Stollery, the successful candidate will be expected to provide one-in-four in-house after-hours medical clinical coverage to all children within the Pediatric CVICU or the Medical/Surgical PICU.
• Provide consultative service for critical care from within the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
• Work under the ongoing supervision and direction of the attending pediatric intensivist.
• Participate in the on-call schedule for Pediatric Transport by providing two dedicated on-call shifts per four-week block.

The successful applicant will be contracted with Medical Affairs, Edmonton Zone, AHS and shall have or be eligible for certification in Pediatrics or Anesthesia with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Significant Pediatric Medical/Surgical and Cardiac Intensive Care experience is required along with significant experience with ECLS/VAD support.
