About the Position:
We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team in a permanent full-time or part-time role. Full-time work is five days per week, including Saturdays on a rotating basis (no evenings).
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to connect with customers and understand their needs
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
- Community pharmacy experience
- Basic Kroll and computer skills
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
2–3 years as a practicing Pharmacist (preferred but not required)
Methadone maintenance training
Injection certification
Medication review experience
Key Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacist at Central Drugs, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional customer care services, meeting and exceeding the Standards of Practice
- Accurately receive, prepare, and deliver prescriptions in a timely manner
- Provide comprehensive counselling on prescriptions, OTC products, and health-related issues
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information
- Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions, addressing patient and physician concerns
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with legislation and standards
- Oversee and supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians
- Ensure compliance with company policies, professional standards, and applicable laws
- Monitor and manage medication inventory
Job Details:
Type: Full-time or part-time
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, day shifts, with Saturdays on a rotating basis (no Sundays or evenings)
Pay: From $55.00/hour
Location: On-site in Nanaimo, BC

Required Certification:
