About the Position:

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team in a permanent full-time or part-time role. Full-time work is five days per week, including Saturdays on a rotating basis (no evenings).

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to connect with customers and understand their needs
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Community pharmacy experience
  • Basic Kroll and computer skills

Preferred Experience & Certifications:

2–3 years as a practicing Pharmacist (preferred but not required)
Methadone maintenance training
Injection certification
Medication review experience

Key Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacist at Central Drugs, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional customer care services, meeting and exceeding the Standards of Practice
  • Accurately receive, prepare, and deliver prescriptions in a timely manner
  • Provide comprehensive counselling on prescriptions, OTC products, and health-related issues
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions, addressing patient and physician concerns
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with legislation and standards
  • Oversee and supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, professional standards, and applicable laws
  • Monitor and manage medication inventory

Job Details:

Type: Full-time or part-time
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, day shifts, with Saturdays on a rotating basis (no Sundays or evenings)
Pay: From $55.00/hour
Location: On-site in Nanaimo, BC

Required Certification:

Pharmacist’s License to practice in British Columbia
