Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians
- Apply and adjust casts, splints, and bandages
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Help with scheduling and workflow
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices
- Process claims such as health insurance or workers' compensation
- Maintain supplies
- Advise patients on care and use of ocular prostheses
- Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone, and booking appointments
- Order supplies and equipment
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Schedule and confirm appointments
