The Opportunity:
L’assistant ou l’assistante en pharmacie est principalement responsable des tâches se rapportant à la délivrance des médicaments, ce qui comprend entrer et exécuter les ordonnances, prélever/emballer et expédier les médicaments, répondre aux appels téléphoniques, s’occuper des comptes clients et des paiements, gérer l’inventaire, offrir de l’aide lors de la préparation des médicaments, là où cela est permis à l’intérieur du champ d’exercice, ainsi que d’autres tâches administratives au besoin pour soutenir l’équipe de la pharmacie.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Accurate processing of prescriptions for all programs/medications, including following up on insurance billing issues with third-party payers/patient support programs.
- Provide exemplary customer service to clinic staff, nurses, and physicians primarily by phone/email.
- Label, pick and package prescriptions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure supply to patients in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Adherence to all relevant guidelines including the established Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements as set out by the Provincial College of Pharmacists.
- Ensure safe and appropriate storage of medications.
What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
- Minimum 1–2-year experience in pharmacy setting required.
- Experience with Kroll preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of specialty medications along with third-party billing issues is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in French. Ability to effectively communicate in English is an asset.
