Covenant Health in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the Department of Surgery, Section of Orthopedic Surgery, invites applications for a Surgical Assistant to be based primarily at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful candidate will support the Orthopedic Surgeons at the Misericordia Community Hospital. This role will have 1-5 weekday daytime (0730-1530h) shifts per week (on average).
Required:
- MD or equivalent.
- Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work on a team.
- Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.
- Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
Preferred:
- Experience working as a Surgical Assistant.
