Reporting to the Manager with professional and clinical support from the Manager, Pain Program, and working without general supervision within an inter-professional, chronic disease management framework, the Physiotherapist-Pain Program, with the Pain Program inter-disciplinary team, assesses, plans, implements plans and evaluates plans for patients/clients with chronic pain. Responsible for planning and implementing patient education materials and sessions, referral to community resources, and setting up ongoing self-management and rehabilitation plans for patients/clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
- Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy.
- Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Physiotherapist.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience in tertiary level care chronic pain management/rehabilitation or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
