Our Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR)
(CAR) is Durham Region’s largest community based rehabilitative therapy provider. Our Vision is to help adults and children maximize their functional abilities within their environment and enable them to participate more fully in life’s activities and rewards. We are looking for Registered Physiotherapists to provide services to our pediatric clients in their school and homes within the community. The position can be a flexible one, with working hours ranging from part-time to full time depending on your desired client caseload size. Visit us on http://www.car-rehab.com
Your impact
As a Lifemark physiotherapist, you’ll be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, empowering individuals to overcome challenges, improve their mobility, and achieve their health goals. You'll be more than a care provider; you'll be an educator, motivator, and problem-solver, lifting people up, meeting people where they are in their health journeys, sharing knowledge, and delivering top-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will:
- Provide ministry funded and private clients, community-based Physiotherapy services within the pediatric/young adults client’s place of residence and/or through virtual services
- Provide physiotherapy assessment (through interview, standardized and informal assessment techniques) in the areas of gross motor skills, co-ordination, neurological, developmental, mobility aids, etc.
- Complete and maintain current and accurate documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress and discharge summaries according to CAR, the referral source and College of Physiotherapists of Ontario standards
- Develop personalized, evidence-informed care plans to support individual rehabilitation and wellness goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centric care and achieve optimal outcomes

- Active license in good standing with your provincial regulatory college
- Professional liability insurance (as required)
