Description

Woolwich Community Health Centre (WCHC), a multi-site health centre with locations in St. Jacobs, Wellesley, and Linwood, requires a full-time permanent Physiotherapist. The physiotherapist provides assessment and treatment within their full professional scope to achieve WCHC clients’ goals, and improve their quality of life.

The Physiotherapist complements the health centre’s inter-disciplinary team by providing physiotherapy treatment by assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs for clients with movement disorders and who are consistent with the physiotherapy intake guidelines. This position will be involved in small group education as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessment and develop personalized treatment plan
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions using various therapeutic techniques
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal client outcome
  • Provide educational sessions of a preventative nature, including injury prevention strategies and self-management techniques
  • Provide services in homes of clients when needed
  • Supervision of Physiotherapy Aide(s) or PTA
  • Contribute to WCHC’s quality improvement initiative
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records

Qualifications

  • BScPT / MScPT degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish rapport and effective relationships with clients
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and knowledge of community-based health care, health promotion, and illness prevention
  • Experience working with diverse client populations and rural communities an asset
  • Flexibility to work one evening per week
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and EMR systems
  • Access to a vehicle required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary of $74,406 to $82,340 per year (pro-rated to working status)
  • 4 weeks paid vacation (pro-rated to working status)
  • 18 Sick Days per year (pro-rated to working status)
  • 10 Professional Development days per year (pro-rated to working status)
  • Enrolment in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
