Job Description:

Thank you for your interest in our Community Psychiatry position at Health Plus Medical Clinic - Calgary. We are currently recruiting a Psychiatrist to join our large and thriving multidisciplinary clinic located in Southeast Calgary. Health Plus Medical is home to over 10 full-time family physicians and serves a diverse patient population of more than 20,000 registered individuals. Due to increasing mental health needs in both our clinic and the surrounding community, we are actively seeking a psychiatrist to support our integrated care model. The psychiatrist will work closely with family physicians and other healthcare providers to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. This is a fully community-based outpatient role with no hospital coverage or on-call obligations. Flexible scheduling is available, and there is no requirement for weekend or evening work unless desired.

Our clinic is fully EMR-integrated and offers strong administrative support, experienced MOAs, and on-site allied health services to ensure a collaborative and efficient practice environment.

Qualifications:

  • Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
  • Certified in Psychiatry
  • Eligibility for independent practice or Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
  • International applicants from Approved Jurisdictions are welcome to apply - we provide full guidance and support, including LMIA and work permit documentation

Additional Information

  • Recruiting Organization: Community Clinic

  • Compensation: Fee-for-Service (FFS) model: Overhead split is negotiable and will be discussed during the interview
  • Expected annual income range: $350,000 to $450,000+ (dependent on workload and patient volume)
