This position reports to Section Chief, Forensic. The CMD at SAFPC (Southern Alberta Forensic Psychiatric Centre) provides medical leadership, oversight, and coordination with management.
Accountabilities:
- Works in coordination with management to provide leadership in service delivery ensuring the appropriate use of resources, triage, prioritization, and allocation of referrals.
- Ensure that service delivery is consistent with policies and protocols and contribute to updating these as needed.
- Communicate with referral sources and stakeholders on service delivery as needed.
- Take a leadership role, along with management, in planning for service expansion.
- Quality control, oversight, and feedback to service providers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Psychiatrist / Practitioner who currently has Recovery Alberta appointment.
- The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Must read, write, and speak English.
