Adult Psychiatrist - Medicine Hat

Mental Health, Recovery Alberta is inviting applications for a Psychiatrist to join the Acute Care Team at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. The role involves provision of acute care service along with other psychiatrists on in-patient ward. The role will include being part of the on call-rota which will involve delivery of services to the emergency department and a consult-liaison role.

Role:

• Establish and maintain a full-time Psychiatry practice in the community of Medicine Hat.
• Provide flexible call support based on the other members of the department as per AHS’s call schedules and expectations for Psychiatry practices in the South Zone.
• Be trained in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and provide ECT on a rotating basis.
• Obtain and maintain AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services.
• Reside in and have as primary residence, in the community of Medicine Hat.
